"Formed in 2023 as a two-piece, Montreal extreme noise purveyors LOBOTOMITE quickly grabbed the city’s underground scene by throat, with each successive release hanging in the air like a threatening orbitoclast. Later recruiting a third member for their New Transgressions EP (2024), the band is back with their first full-length record, Physical Strains, which is set to drill yet another hole into the proverbial skull of every listener later this year. Eschewing guitars entirely, the band now utilizes two bass guitars on this record in conjunction with the bombastic percussion and feral noise of their organized auditory chaos.
